May 28, 2008 - Conor's Confirmation

These are a little out of order, since confirmation happened on May 18, but I just got around to getting the pictures off the camera. It was a beautiful day -- wish you could have all been here to celebrate with us!

Conor tied for the most awards in the 6th grade! How's that for excellence?!

Conor normally has red and white days at school, but the last couple of weeks got a little crazy trying to schedule all the fun activities and they ended up with "pink" day by combining all their classes on one day. So here he is being very supportive of his school!

Monster Concert

The Monster Concert is held annually at UCM. They have 8 pianos on stage...so 16 kids are playing together at the same time. It's pretty cool!

Video from Conor's 12th birthday

In case those of you without boys ever wondered what you were missing!!!

Saturday - April 19, 2008 - First Blog Ever

I just looked at Emily and Jesse's blog and got inspired to set one up for the Tenbus clan here in the 'burg. Assuming we can master the technology, it should make a great way to share our summer journey with everyone. That's really what we live for here in Missouri -- summer! We have seen a few signs of spring lately, but mostly it's still gray skies and sloggy ground. Trees are beginning to bud and the grass is turning green. We'll have to mow soon. No flowers, though. I bet Florida is a kaleidoscope of colors. I loved this time of year in Tallahassee -- azaleas, dogwood, roses, Japanese magnolias, redbuds, wisteria.

Eric is in Pittsburgh this weekend, reliving his fraternity days at Carnegie Mellon. Conor is spending the night with a friend. So I have the house --and the computer-- to myself. Maybe I can figure this out.

Well, check back often as we sometimes get sidetracked on this journey we call life and forget to check in with you. No matter where we are, though, you are always in our hearts!
